Serious accessibility failures

IssueHigh priority

Rendered pages of this site with a critical or serious accessibility failure: an image without alt text, a field without a label, too little contrast.

Why it matters

Someone using a screen reader, a keyboard or with low vision cannot use that part of the page at all. Automated checks find only part of what makes a page usable with a screen reader, a keyboard or low vision; a page with none still needs testing by people.

How to fix it

Open the page's Accessibility tab for each failure, the element that caused it and the WCAG criterion it breaks.

Skitter runs this check on every crawl, and lists each page it finds with the evidence: the header, the tag or the link that gave it away.
