Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Skitter (the "App") is developed by Juye Symons ("I", "me") and sold through the Mac App Store. Your use of the App is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
These terms add what that agreement leaves to the developer.
Subscriptions
- Crawls of up to 500 URLs are free. For bigger ones, and for schedules and Shortcuts, the App offers a monthly and a yearly subscription. The price, length and any free trial of each are shown in the App before you subscribe.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends.
- A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the next period within the 24 hours before it begins.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings in the App Store. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
- If you subscribe during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Crawling websites
- Only crawl sites you own or are allowed to crawl. You are responsible for the requests the App makes on your behalf and for respecting each site's terms.
- The App obeys robots.txt by default. Switching that off, raising the crawl speed or signing in to a site is your choice and your responsibility.
What the App reports
Skitter reports what a crawl found. A page reported as indexable means nothing in that crawl prevents indexing, not that a search engine has indexed it. Findings are a guide for you to check, not a guarantee of search ranking or of a site's correctness.
Privacy
How the App handles your data is described in its privacy policy.
Changes
I may update these terms. Changes will be posted at this address.
