Noindex

WarningHigh priority

Pages that ask search engines not to index them, in a robots meta tag or an X-Robots-Tag header.

Why it matters

The page cannot appear in search results at all. That is often deliberate, and often a staging rule that reached production by accident.

How to fix it

If the page should be found, remove the noindex. The Meta Robots and X-Robots-Tag columns say which of the two is saying it.

Skitter runs this check on every crawl, and lists each page it finds with the evidence: the header, the tag or the link that gave it away.
