Slow

OpportunityLow priority

Resources that took longer than one second to fetch.

Why it matters

This is the time the server took to answer this Mac during the crawl, before anything is drawn. It is not a page-speed score, but slow answers make every visit slower.

How to fix it

Sort by time and look for a pattern: one slow template or query usually explains many pages. Crawling fast can itself slow a small server, so check a few by hand.

Skitter runs this check on every crawl, and lists each page it finds with the evidence: the header, the tag or the link that gave it away.
