Alt text over 100 characters
OpportunityLow priority
Images a page of this site describes in more than 100 characters.
Why it matters
Alt text is read aloud in full, and a paragraph where a phrase would do is a long wait for someone listening to the page.
How to fix it
Say what the image shows in a phrase. Put anything longer in a caption or in the text beside it, where everyone can read it.
Skitter runs this check on every crawl, and lists each page it finds with the evidence: the header, the tag or the link that gave it away.
