Images over 100 KB
OpportunityMedium priority
Images larger than 100 KB.
Why it matters
Images are most of the weight of most pages. A large one is slow on a phone connection and costs the visitor data, usually for detail nobody can see at the size it is shown.
How to fix it
Resize each to the largest size it is shown at, and save it in a modern format such as WebP or AVIF at a sensible quality.
Skitter runs this check on every crawl, and lists each page it finds with the evidence: the header, the tag or the link that gave it away.
