Non-ASCII characters in the address

WarningLow priority

Addresses of this site that use characters outside plain ASCII.

Why it matters

They are re-encoded differently by different browsers, mail clients and copy-paste, so one page ends up linked under several spellings.

How to fix it

Rename the page to plain ASCII and redirect the old address to it, keeping the words readable rather than stripping them.

Skitter runs this check on every crawl, and lists each page it finds with the evidence: the header, the tag or the link that gave it away.
