Underscores in the address

OpportunityLow priority

Addresses of this site whose path separates words with underscores.

Why it matters

Search engines treat a hyphen as a word break and an underscore as a joiner, so the words in the address are read as one.

How to fix it

Use hyphens between words in new addresses. Renaming an old one is only worth it with a redirect and a link update.

Skitter runs this check on every crawl, and lists each page it finds with the evidence: the header, the tag or the link that gave it away.
