More than one title

IssueMedium priority

Pages whose head holds more than one title element.

Why it matters

Which one a search engine shows is its choice, not yours, and the one it picks is often not the one you meant.

How to fix it

Keep one title in the head and delete the rest — usually a template adding one on top of the page's own.

Skitter runs this check on every crawl, and lists each page it finds with the evidence: the header, the tag or the link that gave it away.
