Redirect chains
WarningMedium priority
Addresses something links to that redirect to another redirect before arriving.
Why it matters
Every extra hop is a round trip for the visitor, and search engines may stop following a long chain before they reach the page.
How to fix it
Redirect the first address straight to where the chain ends, and point links at that address too.
Skitter runs this check on every crawl, and lists each page it finds with the evidence: the header, the tag or the link that gave it away.
